The Windows 8 has a windows app interface that is very much like the app interface of the smartphones. You can slide the apps and once you click on it, it will show up in full view of your computer screen. It’s a nice looking interface running in your computer desktop.

However, there’s one problem that a new user will struggle with when they try to close the windows apps. Windows users are used to see the X button to close every window. In windows 8 apps, this feature is not available. So how does a user close a windows app in windows 8?

Here’s how to do it:

With a mouse, move the cursor to the top left corner, which shows a preview of the last app you had open. Then start to move the cursor down along the left side. A panel should pop out with a list of running apps, a lot like the alt+tab menu in the desktop environment. From there you can right-click and close them.If you’re still feeling annoyed on how to close the windows app, the fastest way do it is using your keyboard. Simply press the alt+F4 function keys and the windows app will be closed.

Hope it helps you.

You can use your mouse to hover at the topmost edge of your app and pull all the way down until the app disappears. 😉
